The New York Knicks completed a gentleman's sweep of the NBA Finals Saturday night, defeating the Spurs in San Antonio to win their first NBA title since 1973. With New York's victory comes defeat to the lone Blue Devil remaining in the NBA playoffs, Mason Plumlee.
A 13-year NBA veteran after four years with the Blue Devils, Plumlee landed with the Spurs after being cut by the Oklahoma City Thunder following a midseason trade from the Hornets.
Plumlee was relegated to the bench for most of the playoffs and didn't see the floor in the finals after playing seven minutes against Oklahoma City in the Western Conference Finals.
Now 36 years old, Plumlee has not yet indicated plans to retire, but the chances of him earning an illustrious NBA title at this point in his career seem slim.
