In Week 1 of the 2026 UFL season, the Birmingham Stallions defeated the Louisville Kings 15-13. Former Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Justyn Ross was in action, but went viral from a moment off the field during the game.
During the start of halftime, as the Stallions players left the field, words were exchanged between the players and the Kings fans. The small barrier between the fans and players wasn't enough to keep the sides apart, and drinks were eventually tossed. Ross was one of the players who argued with fans, tossed drinks, and had to be restrained twice.
Ross remained in the game and finished with two catches for 30 yards and a touchdown. The Kings' home debut reportedly drew 14,034 fans to a traditional soccer stadium (Lynn Family Stadium) with a capacity of 15,304.
Ross was active for two regular-season games in 2024 but was left without a catch on one target. He appeared in 10 games in 2023, with one start, collecting six catches for 53 yards.
The former Clemson Tigers standout had been with the Chiefs since signing as an undrafted free agent in 2022 until being waived at the end of training camp in 2025.
