PEORIA — Malevy Leons is headed back to the NBA with a new team.
The former Bradley Braves star was signed to a two-way NBA deal by the Golden State Warriors on Monday.
He made his NBA debut as part of a six-game stint with Oklahoma City last season.
Leons was playing his second season for the Thunder's G League team. He produced 14.8 points per game on 51% shooting from the field and 43.8% from 3-point range in 12 games this season.
He added 7.6 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 1.8 steals and 1 block per game.
The Warriors reportedly will waive 2025 NBA second-round pick Alex Toohey to clear roster room for Leons.
The 6-foot-9 Leons was the Missouri Valley Conference Defensive Player of the Year in 2022-23 and 2023-24.
The Netherlands native was a two-time all-MVC player and finished his BU career 1,179 points in three seasons, adding 137 blocks and 127 steals.
