Former Arizona Cardinals draft pick Hakeem Butler getting another shot

Former Arizona Cardinals fourth-round pick Hakeem Butler is getting another shot in the NFL. After another successful season in the UFL with the St. Louis Battlehawks, Butler has signed with the Denver Broncos ahead of minicamp.

Butler was drafted in the fourth round in 2019 by the Cardinals but never played in a game. He spent his rookie season on injured reserve and was released before the 2020 season. He since spent time with the Carolina Panthers, Philadelphia Eagles, Pittsburgh Steelers and Cincinnati Bengals, only ever playing in two NFL games.

He has, though, made a name for himself in the UFL. He was the UFL Offensive Player of the Year in 2024 and had a league-leading 641 receiving yards this past season on 29 receptions.

Now 30 years old, he gets a shot with the Broncos. Will this be the year he finally sticks in the NFL?
