The 2026 World Cup kicks off in just a few weeks' time as the greatest show on Earth hits North America.
Split between Canada, the United States and Mexico, it's the first time the World Cup will take place across three nations. There's a new, revamped newsletter format coming your way too.
A record 48 teams will compete at the tournament, with 104 games scheduled over 13 different kick-off times during an expanded six-week-long edition of the busiest World Cup to date.
If that sounds like a lot to wrap your head around, fear not. Football Extra will be here to help, guiding you through a summer like no other.
To do so, we'll be making a couple of changes to the newsletter. Beginning on Wednesday 11th June, the day the tournament kicks off, we'll start sending Football Extra seven days a week for the duration of the World Cup.
It will also land in your inbox a few hours earlier than usual, with a revised format.
Each edition will tee up the action in store over the next 24 hours, providing you with key information about the big games. You will also get our insight on the storylines to look out for as the tournament progresses.
In addition, we'll be bringing you all the latest breaking news from BBC Sport's team of reporters who'll be on location across North America throughout the World Cup.
Football Extra's Monday stalwart Pat Nevin will be heading over too – and we're delighted to announce he'll be writing twice weekly during the tournament.
Pat's columns will provide his unique insight into the most-talked-about matches and he will also be answering the best questions sent in by our Football Extra community.
And Pat will also send dispatches from his travels across the continent as he reports on the sights and sounds of a tournament taking place in 16 host cities across three countries. His busy diary includes DJ slots and no doubt dropping in on some historic and cultural sights, so expect a visual feast.
George Mills, Jon Barbuti and Giles Goford will be on hand throughout the rest of the competition – and we can't wait for it all to get started.
If you're not yet signed up to Football Extra and you're outside the UK - follow this link to receive the definitive daily World Cup guide.
