Round 1 of the 2026 Stanley Cup Playoffs is headed back to Pittsburgh for Game 5 as the Philadelphia Flyers (3-1) will look to close out their series against the Penguins (1-3) on Monday at PPG Paints Arena.

The Penguins got into the win column on Saturday with a 4-2 win over the Flyers in Game 4. Philly got away from its game, which left the door open for the Penguins to get their first win of the series.

Sidney. Crisby scored his first goal of the series, as did Kris Letang and Rickard Rakell. The Penguins came alive in Game 4 and rallied behind backup goalie Arturs Silovs.

The Flyers were quiet in the first half of the game, but Denver Barkey scored the first goal of his playoff career and sparked a comeback that ultimately fell short.

Now, the Flyers have the chance to bounce back from the loss and close out the series in Pittsburgh.

Puck drop is at 7:00 p.m. EST at PPG Paints Arena. Here is how the Flyers are expected to line up.

Game Notes

Alex Bump is expected to take over Matvei Michkov’s spot in the lineup. That will be his playoff debut, which is ironically in the same place where he made his NHL debut. Bump has plenty of high-pressure moments experience from his college days, where he won a National Championship with Western Michigan.

He is being called on to help bring a spark to a Flyers’ lineup that needs it. He’ll add some good size to the Flyers’ lineup. He is a shoot-first winger and can snipe. With the Flyers lacking offense in Game 4, Bump can make a real impact.

If the Penguins stick with Arturs Silovs, the Flyers need to put an emphasis on getting bodies in front before they shoot. Silovs gives up a lot of rebounds, and the Flyers can really capitalize. They did not in Game 4, but it’s something to watch for Game 5.

The Flyers have entered 11 Game 4s with a 3-0 lead and are 3-8 in those games, including Saturday. In the 7 games played after, the Flyers are 5-2. They can add to that history on Monday.
