Florida State is searching for more edge talent in the 2027 cycle to add to four-star Anthony Cavallaro. They have indentified three-star Jayvon Dawson as a key target, and he announced a scholarship offer from FSU via social media.
"I AM EXTREMELY BLESS!! TO RECEIVE AN OFFER FROM FLORIDA STATE UNIVERSITY," Dawson wrote.
Dawson is the nation's No. 469 player and the No. 38 edge according to 247Sports composite rankings. The 6-foot-4, 215-pounder is the No. 42 prospect in the state of Florida.
His junior campaign in 2025 was a very productive one. Dawson registered 68 tackles, 22 tackles for loss, eight sacks, one forced fumble, and one pass breakup. He played outside linebacker in addition to edge for Santaluces High School.
Last weekend, Dawson attended a Junior Day event in Tallahassee. Look for the Seminoles to work to get another visit locked in with him sometime during the summer.
