Florida baseball will play a neutral-site exhibition game against the Troy Trojans — the team that bounced the Gators from the Gainesville Regional last spring — on Saturday, Oct. 24, at the Blue Wahoos Stadium in Pensacola, Florida.
The matchup is part of an event hosted by the Pensacola Blue Wahoos, the Double-A affiliate of the Miami Marlins, as part of their fall baseball schedule that will include six schools that competed in the 2026 NCAA Tournament.
"Ever since we began hosting fall college baseball at Blue Wahoos Stadium in 2024, the fan response has been overwhelmingly positive," said Blue Wahoos president Jonathan Griffith. "This unprecedented expansion of our NCAA slate helps meet the high demand for our passionate local fans, and helps bring new baseball communities to experience Pensacola's unique environment and fan experience for the first time."
Wahoos Stadium will also feature matchups between the Florida State Seminoles and Auburn Tigers on Oct. 10 as well as the Alabama Crimson Tide and Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets on Oct. 17. It will be the first time Florida has played in Pensacola since facing Georgia Tech in 2013, which also took place at the same venue.
The Gators were knocked out of the Gainesville Regional by the Trojans with back-to-back losses in the two championship games held at Condron Family Ballpark. Troy went on to sweep the Little Rock Trojans in the Super Regional and went 1-2 in the College World Series.
