The Oregon Ducks were never much of a hotbed for elite talent, but that all changed when Dan Lanning took over as head coach. Now, it feels like every single recruit who commits to the team has either four or five stars.
Five-star wide receiver Dakorien Moore proved his natural talent by becoming Oregon’s No. 1 wideout as a true freshman, and now the Ducks have another five-star pass catcher on the way. Wide receiver Jalen Lott signed up to join the team last month and is already giving fans hope for next season.
He will be participating in the Polynesian Bowl later this week, a game in Hawaii that showcases the top high school talent from all around the country. They are on day three of practices, and Lott earned the MVP for a stellar performance. There isn’t much reporting about what he did to earn the honors, but it is prestigious due to the level of talent on the field that he is competing with.
Lott was a highly-rated prospect who is already showing what he’s made of before he even gets to Eugene. If he performs anything like Moore, then the Ducks could have one of the best receiving tandems in the nation next season.
