It’s conference tournament time for seven First Coast college golf programs.
The University of North Florida and Jacksonville University women’s programs head for Dothan, Ala. The UNF and JU men will be in Valdosta, Ga. And the Flagler College men’s and women’s teams will try to win on their home course, along with the Edward Waters women’s team.
Here’s a look at the conference tournaments:
UNF most recent lineup:Kaitlyn Schroeder, Brianna Castaldi, Mohea Mansbendel, Bradyn Smith, Helen Zhou.
JU most recent lineup: Hannah Lowery, Alexis Rieli, Erin Marcelino, Kit Schaefer, Issy Hopkins.
Outlook: Should be a fun shootout. Florida Gulf Coast (ranked No. 64) leads three teams ranked among the top 100 by College Scoreboard, with Stetson 87th and UNF 89th. ... Schroeder, a junior, is the highest-ranked ASUN player in the field at No. 126. ... Stetson sophomore Isaki Sakashita has won her last two starts.
UNF most recent lineup: Filippo Serra, Danny Erickson, Adam Vermut, Jean-Phillipe Parr, Luke Balaskiewicz.
JU most recent lineup: Daniel Montalvo, Brandon Lohr, Andrew Morgan, Tomas Hjalsted, Evan Raynor.
Outlook: Based on rankings and how the spring season has progressed, this looks like a two-team shootout between No. 58 Florida Gulf Coast and No. 72 Stetson. ... Gulf Coast sophomore Nolan Harper, a Beachside graduate, is the highest-ranked ASUN player in the field at No. 148. He was the ASUN Freshman of the Year in 2025. ... UNF enters the tournament ranked 131st and JU is 157th.
Flagler most recent lineup: P.J. Herron, Matthew French, Masen McKain, Rocco Randazzo, Santino Berengeno.
Outlook: The Saints haven’t won the Peach Belt since 2019 and are in a loaded conference, with Georgia Southwestern (No. 6) leading five teams among the top-20 in NCAA Division II. ... Flagler is 32nd in the nation. The Saints were fourth in last year’s tournament. ... Because of the Peach Belt’s depth, six teams advanced to the NCAA Region tournament last year.
Flagler most recent lineup: Henriette Stranda, Victoria Veator, Sofia Terzoli, Tabitha Hanely, Addison King.
Edward Waters most recent lineup: Iya Borlongan, Micah Castillo, Pearl Jenkins, Albane Le Helloco, Jackie Yanez.
Outlook: The Saints' third-place finish last year broke a streak of eight years in which they won (five times) or finished second in the Peach Belt. ... Flagler enters the tournament ranked 14th in the nation, with Lander No. 6 and North Georgia No. 15. ... Stranda, a senior, is third in the nation individually. He has posted 22 top-10 finishes and four victories for Flagler in three years.
After nine top-10 finishes in two years and three second-places this season, Elize Nograbat of St. Johns finally kicked in her first victory in a Florida Junior Tour 13-15 event.
Nograbat posted two 70s at the Continental Country Club in Wildwood on April 11-12 and at 4-under 140 won the Continental Open by one shot over Ella Hrbata of West Palm Beach.
Nograbat was the runner-up at Palm Harbor, Cypress Knoll and Cander Hills this spring, losing by one shot at Palm Harbor and in a playoff at Cypress Knoll. She rallied from two shots behind Hrbata to start the second round, with birdies at Nos. 12 and 16. After a bogey at the 18th turned and played the front nine at 1-under, with no more bogeys.
Sophia Moody of Fleming Island (145) finish solo fourth. Jay Huntley of Jacksonville Beach (143) tied for second in the boys division, Christopher Grota (145) of St. Augustine tied for fourth and Benny Ossi (147) of Ponte Vedra Beach tied for ninth.
The third annual John Tucker Memorial Tournament on April 13 at the San Jose Country Club raised $45,000 to ALCO House, the JABA Club and the Moore-Myers Children’s Fund.
PGA Tour retired executive Vernon Kelly, who developed the TPC Network to an eventual 34 facilities, was the Honoree.
The winners of the gross scramble tournament were Jim Knutzen, Mike Vallencourt, Brady Dougan and Mark Rutland with a 56. Tommy Fletcher, Dan Curran, Bill Dahlenburg and Phil Rachels won the net division with a 54.

Elize Nograbat finally gets FJT victory
