The Chicago White Sox went out and revitalized their bullpen over the winter. They signed names like Seranthony Dominguez, Jordan Hicks, and Sean Newcomb, but it isn't paying off as the front office had hoped.

Domginuez is doing fine after settling into the closer role. He has six saves so far, and is on pace to break his career-high of 16.

Where the team is really struggling is in the middle relief. Dominguez has only blown two saves, but it is Jordan Leasure, who has three blown saves, who has really struggled this season.

Having a solid bullpen that can perform in close games is key to having a successful season. This gets even more important when you have an offense that is struggling outside of a few players.

The club is going to have to figure out who they feel comfortable giving the ball to in high-leverage situations. In their current state, Bleacher Report's Kerry Miller ranks this bullpen 26th, just ahead of the Los Angeles Angels.

"The White Sox have blown eight saves and haven't been able to identify any reliable middle relievers. Jordan Leasure keeps getting brought in to protect leads and keeps giving up home runs to blow them."

Miller doesn't have much faith in Leasure to bounce back. Instead, the White Sox need to find another arm to get the ball to Dominguez. Calling up Lucas Sims to help provide some veteran presence could be on the front office's mind here soon.

The better option would be to convert Grant Taylor back into the high-leverage arm to bridge the gap in the seventh and eighth innings. However, he is being stretched out this season in hopes that he will transition into the starting rotation next season.
