Kansas City Chiefs defensive lineman Felix Anudike-Uzomah spoke with reporters after practice on Friday at Missouri Western State University. He revealed his mindset after missing last season due to a hamstring injury sustained in preseason.

"It was tough, honestly. But at the end of the day, work will get you anywhere you want. So it's just that I have that mindset going throughout the offseason," said Anudike-Uzomah. "Seeing all my teammates play. It was kind of hard, but me just focusing on getting better, and that was just my motivation."

Anudike-Uzomah has been spotted in past off-seasons practicing martial arts under the tutelage of franchise legend Tamba Hali. He's used that to help prepare his body to become a better pass rusher and improve his discipline.

"It was tough, but at the end of the day, like this, it's a blessing to be in this type of job. So it was like one of those things," said Anudike-Uzomah. "It's like either I can get better or get worse. So I try to choose to be the best I can."

Anudike-Uzomah earned more playing time during the 2024 season, contributing more than he did in his rookie year, finishing with 27 tackles and 2.5 sacks.
