DENVILLE — Morris Knolls pulled out a 4-1 win over Passaic Tech in the North 1, Group 4 softball sectional championship on Thursday, sending it to the Group 4 state semifinals.After a pitching change with one out in the first inning, Morris Knolls sophomore Jessica Seprish pitched 6.2 scoreless innings, striking out seven in the process.Most of the scoring occurred in the first, with Passaic Tech striking first with an Akeelah Clark RBI single and Morris Knolls answering back with three in the bottom half. The Golden Eagles didn’t allow another run all game and tacked on another run with a sacrifice fly in the third. For Morris Knolls (27-3), the victory marked the continuation of a dynasty. The Golden Eagles captured their fourth sectional title in a row and have now won 10 as a program. The win was also Morris Knolls’ 19th in a row, losing only one game since starting the season 1-2.
