The Dallas Cowboys are entering the 2025 NFL season with renewed expectations despite the lack of high-profile additions to the roster and the coaching staff.

They released their schedule on Wednesday after hiding several clues about their opponents for the upcoming season in the background. While Micah Parsons, CeeDee Lamb, Tyler Smith and Osa Odighizuwa engaged in challenges and games, the media crew left hints of which teams will visit AT&T Stadium or host the Cowboys.

The Lone Star will start the season against the defending Super Bowl champions, the Philadelphia Eagles. The schedule won't become easier, as they have stops in Chicago, Denver and Las Vegas.

On Thursday, ESPN insider Adam Schefter shared that the final stretch of the season will be tough for Dallas, considering how well the six teams they'll face over that span played last campaign.

Schefter noted that from Weeks 12-17, the Cowboys would clash with the Eagles again before locking horns with the Kansas City Chiefs on Thanksgiving, the Detroit Lions, Minnesota Vikings, Los Angeles Chargers and Washington Commanders.

All these teams won at least 11 games in 2024, making the Cowboys the first team in history to play six consecutive games against teams that won as many games in the prior campaign.

Many fans were surprised by the difficulty of this portion of the schedule. They predicted this stretch would mark the end of Brian Schottenheimer as the team's head coach, as nobody believed the Cowboys could pull it off.

“Cowboys are screwed expect a new head coach this offseason,” one fan said.

“Losing all 7 of those contest too," another fan said.

“Wild. Also three straight games against teams that won at least 14 games with the Eagles, Chiefs and Lions," a third fan wrote.

“So we are talking a 0-6 slide ?” a fourth fan added.

“When they lose all six games. Coach will be fired, new coach will be hired. Lol," a fifth fan said.

“Cooked," a sixth fan said.

The Cowboys carry a lot of pressure coming into the 2025 season. They need to move on from the terrible 2024 campaign, but the schedule won't be easy at all. They'll also have to clash against the Green Bay Packers and the new-look New York Jets before facing the most difficult part of the season.
