Earlier this week, we asked fans if they believe interim Michigan men’s basketball head coach Mike Boynton Jr. should become the full-time head coach. And now the results are in.

Just 32% of voters believe Boynton should be the full-time head coach.
Dusty May leaving was abrupt and Michigan acted quickly to name Boynton interim head coach. . Under NCAA rules, because Boynton is an interim hire, players wanting to enter the transfer portal must wait 31 days.
Could this be a situation like Michigan football had with interim head coach Biff Poggi, who was in charge for a few weeks and tried to help with roster retention in the aftermath of Sherrone Moore’s firing? Or will Boynton’s success as an assistant at Michigan and prior head coaching experience at Oklahoma State ultimately lead to him being the head coach permanently? These are questions that are likely to be answered this month.
