The Atlanta Falcons officially wrapped up their three-day mandatory minicamp on Friday, and now the players are off until July. It was a successful first minicamp under new Falcons head coach Kevin Stefanski, who is still attempting to figure out which quarterback will run his offense in 2026.
The next step for the team is training camp, which kicks off the final week of July. The Falcons released their full 2026 training camp schedule, which includes 10 open practices that fans can attend.
The team's first official practice is on Wednesday, July 29, but the first open practice will be on Friday, July 31, at IBM Performance Field. The Falcons will also hold two joint practice sessions with the Indianapolis Colts on August 19-20, leading up to their preseason matchup on Saturday, August 22.

The Falcons will begin the 2026 NFL preseason at home against the Denver Broncos on August 14. Denver lost in the AFC Championship game to the New England Patriots. The Broncos will be looking to get quarterback Bo Nix back in time for the regular season.
In Week 2 of the preseason, the Falcons will head to Indianapolis to take on the Colts. Last season, Atlanta lost to Indianapolis in Berlin. Similar to the situation with Bo Nix in Denver, the Colts will be looking their quarterback, Daniel Jones, to get back on the field before the start of the season following a season-ending knee injury in 2025.
Finally, in the third week of the preseason, the Falcons will head down to Miami for a matchup against the Dolphins. Atlanta signed former Dolphins QB Tua Tagovailoa to a one-year deal in free agency. Tagovailoa will return to Miami for the first time since being released.
