The Atlanta Falcons have found their replacement for Tyler Allgeier, agreeing to terms with free-agent running back Brian Robinson Jr., according to a report from NFL insider Jordan Schultz.
Robinson, a former third-round pick, will back up starter Bijan Robinson in 2026. While he lacks the power-rushing ability of Allgeier, the 26-year-old has a better all-around skill set.
Last season, Robinson rushed for 400 yards and two touchdowns as a backup to Christian McCaffrey. Robinson has rushed for over 700 yards in each of his first three NFL seasons. He has some ability as a receiver too, recording 73 career catches for 612 receiving yards and five touchdowns.
"The Falcons are expected to sign former 49ers RB Brian Robinson Jr., per sources," Schultz reported on Tuesday afternoon. "Robinson has over 2,700 yards rushing, 612 yards receiving and 22 total TDs in four NFL seasons."
Atlanta also signed veteran quarterback Trevor Siemian on Tuesday afternoon. Check out the team's updated roster, as arranged by position below (new players in bold).
