Atlanta Falcons tight end Kyle Pitts is coming off a late-blooming breakout year. In 2025, he posted new career highs with 88 catches and five touchdowns, while his 928 yards ranked second behind his rookie season.
It was a long overdue but very much welcome development for the Falcons offense, which already has established stars at running back and wide receiver in Bijan Robinson and Drake London. If Pitts can continue to raise his level of play, it would make for a very potent third blue chip option for whoever winds up starting at quarterback.
The new coaching staff likes what they've seen from Pitts so far, apparently. Head coach Kevin Stefanski told reporters yesterday that he's responding well to the new things they're asking of him.
"He's trying to be the best version of himself - to be the most complete player at his position," said Stefanski. "Obviously, he's had some great, great moments in his young career and we're trying to build off of those. And also, like any player, there's always things you can work on."
Pitts entered the league as a top-level pass-catching talent, but a lack of consistency combined with the team's poor quarterback play hindered his career. After a 1,000-yard rookie season, Pitts suffered an MCL injury in 2022. He finished with less than 700 yards in three consecutive years before bouncing back in 2025.
The former top-five pick is under contract for one more year, via the franchise tag. If Pitts can perform again in 2026, he will be in line for a major payday.
