Ogden didn't play LT as a rookie. They already had a LT IIRC he played guard his rookie year and then became the LT the next year. I remember that argument when we drafted Big and put him at guard that the exact same thing was done with Ogden.

Started 16 games at LG as a rookie in 1996, then made the switch back to his natural LT spot, and has cemented a starting Pro Bowl berth in each of the last 9 years...Was the 1st OL selected in the 1996 draft and the 4th player overall (after Keyshawn Johnson by the Jets, Kevin Hardy by the Jaguars and Simeon Rice by the Cardinals).
Note that Ogden still played on the left side (didn't have to change "steps," as it were).
