Hello guys, I am new a poster obviously. I have been a huge cardinals since they were in St. Louis. I'm wondering if the Cardinals are going to do anything FA? I've heard rumors with just about everyone else, but the Cardinals. I'm hoping for something big, but i'm getting a little worried.

Give it a couple of hours. Free agency starts around then.

But to answer your question I haven't seen the Cardinals linked to the big free agents.

Maybe they are waiting to see what happens with CC?

If we retain Swearinger, I'll breathe a huge sigh of relief. I could see him staying here a little cheaper than he might get elsewhere too, since we basically revived his career. He had multiple other stops and had been cut mid-season... seems to have matured, and I can at least accept him, Branch, and Tyrann back there.

Cooper I'm not very excited for... he was the best of a lot of bad options, but still bad, and if other teams are willing to pay a fortune for him, let them do it. I don't want him to be anything more than our third CB.

The one thing I fear, is a few pundits have conjectured the Cutler would be a good bridge QB for the Cards. :bang:

one more reason we can't compare ourselves to the Pats when people say "We need to do thing like they do..."

They just won the Super Bowl and have 62 MILLION in cap room and just signed one of the best CBs in FA:

Really disappointing that we just lost two of our best defenders in CC and Jefferson and there's no word on Swearinger. Those are heavy losses... and we don't have much cap room to replace them.

Especially after Palmer and Fitz come back and we are going for it. We may be going for it but not sure we won't get lost. :(
