Last season the Las Vegas Raiderstraded veteran wide receiver Jakobi Meyers to the Jacksonville Jaguars in exchange for a fourth and sixth round pick in the 2026 NFL Draft. After showing improvement on his new team last season, he looks to build upon it in 2026.
Meyers was a key contributor on the Raiders’ offense throughout his three-year tenure in Las Vegas. He will play a critical role during his first full season in Jacksonville this year, as Meyers is expected to enter Week 1 as the Jaguars’ wide receiver two behind Brian Thomas Jr.
However, a plethora of NFL fans and analysts across the league are skeptical in regard to Meyers’ potential in 2026. Bleacher Report’s Kristopher Knox recently listed the most underrated wide receivers in the NFL entering the regular season, and Meyers was listed at number six.
Meyers is credited with 2,186 yards and 12 touchdowns during his time on the Raiders’ offense. The veteran was ultimately shipped to Jacksonville prior to the trade deadline last season in exchange of draft capital, and Meyers could quickly begin to shine as the Jaguars’ second option in 2026.
Meyers has proven to adapt to change on multiple occasions during his seven-year career. The talented route runner has been a solid contributor on each team he has played for, and Meyers will once again enter the season as one of the most underrated wide receivers in all of football.

“Jakobi Meyers was a very good complementary receiver during his four seasons with the New England Patriots, and he had his bright moments with the Las Vegas Raiders, too. The North Carolina State product logged his first 1,000-yard campaign with the Raiders in 2024. However, Meyers also got lost in Las Vegas a bit as the Raiders struggled to find relevance. He jumped into the spotlight a bit this past season when he was traded to the Jacksonville Jaguars and quickly established himself as Trevor Lawrence's go-to target. In nine games with Jacksonville, Meyers caught 42 passes for 483 yards and three touchdowns. He also provided a 95.2 passer rating when targeted, which is impressive for a player joining a new system midseason. Meyers' fantasy value will be limited by the presence of other Jags receivers, like Brian Thomas Jr., Travis Hunter, and Parker Washington. As a player, he continues to be underrated.”
