Ex-Raiders Player Wants Patriots Coach 'Arrested For Sabotaging' Organization originally appeared on NESN. Add NESN as a Preferred Source by clicking here.
The New England Patriots reunited with Josh McDaniels for a third stint last season, and one of his former players wants him arrested.
McDaniels was great for the Patriots last year and helped Drake Maye take a huge leap. However, for as successful as he has been as a coordinator, he has not had much luck as a head coach. He has been a head coach twice in his career and has been fired both times. His last stint as a head coach came with the Las Vegas Raiders from 2022 to 2023.
McDaniels was fired in his second season as the Raiders' head coach, but he briefly coached Johnathan Abram during his time there. Abram was a first-round pick in 2019 and helped the Raiders reach the playoffs the season before they hired McDaniels. McDaniels went 9-16 as the Raiders' head coach, and Abram blames him for the Raiders' downfall.
"I miss playing inside you," Abram posted on his Instagram story with a picture of Allegiant Stadium. "Josh McDaniels ruined everything we built! He should be arrested for sabotaging the organization and going back to (New England)."
McDaniels did not perform well as a head coach for the Raiders, but he is one of the best assistants of all time. He has won six Super Bowls as an assistant coach and was the 2025 Assistant Coach of the Year.
