Ex-Dolphins star Tyreek Hill gets Chiefs prediction that just makes too much sense originally appeared on The Sporting News. Add The Sporting News as a Preferred Source by clicking here.
Former Miami Dolphins star Tyreek Hill is still surprisingly without a team, though that's likely due to the knee injury he suffered a season ago. Hill, who didn't look like he typically did even before going down with that injury, is still likely a productive receiver in the NFL and would benefit from being on a star-studded team.
There were times with the Dolphins when he was clearly the best wide receiver in the NFL, even being ranked as the top player in the league at one point by his peers.
While the injury might affect Hill, it's obvious he'll find a team if he wants to play in the NFL in the future, and a recent prediction has him returning to his former team, the Kansas City Chiefs.
“Get the band back together in Kansas City. Chris Jones is already publicly recruiting Hill. A reunion makes a ton of sense for the 32-year-old speedster and the Chiefs. Kansas City has not adequately filled Hill’s void since they traded him to the Miami Dolphins in 2022. The Chiefs would provide Hill with a comfortable, familiar place to rehab his knee injury and revitalize the back half of his career. The Chiefs lost Hollywood Brown in free agency and didn’t draft a WR until the fifth round,” Tyler Dragon of USA TODAY wrote.
Adding Hill would make a lot of sense from the Chiefs' perspective, as there was a good bit of noise about that happening at points throughout last season. The Chiefs are in need of an elite wide receiver, and Hill would fit that role.
However, it's also important to note that Patrick Mahomes' injury could change how the Chiefs currently view things, as they'd be adding arguably their two best players on the offensive side of the football back after tough injuries.
