During an interview with Steve Walls on 'The W Show KC,' former Kansas City Chiefs defensive back Marcus Peters opened up about being traded to the Los Angeles Rams.

"I had mixed feelings about K.C.; most importantly, I was just young, I was 22 coming into the league with a lot of money for me, with a whole lot of expectations, and I fully exceeded." Said Peters, "I don't think I was ever given a chance just to settle tho, it was just when I was trying to settle because I had so much other stuff, baggage from college, that they never really allowed me to ease into it… K.C. never gave me a chance to relax."

Peters entered the NFL as Kansas City's 18th-overall pick in the first round of the 2015 draft. He excelled immediately, winning Defensive Rookie of the Year, and it was the first of two consecutive Pro Bowl seasons to begin his professional career.

"If it's my choice, to be honest, I didn't really want to go," Peters said. "I didn't want to go nowhere. I didn't ask for no trade. I didn't do nothing. I was in L.A., and I got a call from my agent, he was like, 'Hey, you might be getting traded.'"

Kansas City traded Peters and a sixth-round pick in the 2018 NFL draft to Los Angeles in return for a 2018 fourth-round pick and a second-round pick in the 2019 NFL draft.

"I was low-key pissed off," Peters said. "I didn't want to go nowhere, just to be honest. Leave it at that. I love playing ball in K.C., and I loved coming into Arrowhead Stadium and being able to perform. That's why you got my best out there because it was just so free and so natural."

Peters was also a member of the Baltimore Ravens and Las Vegas Raiders before ending his playing career and becoming the new head coach at McClymonds High School in Oakland.
