Ex-champ Jan Blachowicz bows out of UFC 328 with torn meniscus

One of the key fights on the thin UFC light heavyweight slate has taken a blow.

Former divisional kingpin Jan Blachowicz has withdraw from his scheduled UFC 328 rematch with Bogdan Guskov after suffering a meniscus tear in his knee.

Blachowicz (29-11-2 MMA, 12-8-2 UFC) announced he news Saturday on Instagram, revealing that he sustained the injury on his "last round of sparring" and will no longer face Guskov (18-3-1 MMA, 4-1-1 UFC) at the May 9 event in Newark, N.J. (Paramount+).
