Ex Browns QB Johnny Manziel Makes Threat Over Cam Newton Take originally appeared on Athlon Sports.

Former Cleveland Browns quarterback Johnny Manziel is back in the news, but not for anything he did on the field.

Manziel hasn't played competitive football in years, but the 32-year-old is making headlines for defending another former NFL player.

Cam Newton ranked his top 10 NFL quarterbacks recently and excluded the Eagles' Jalen Hurts.

Philadelphia-born rapper and podcast host Gillie Da Kid took exception to that and personally attacked Newton.

"A good day, Cam Newton. I seen you came at me because I said Jalen Hurts did what you couldn't do… win a Super Bowl. So you wanna get all in your feelings? Man, shut your tight jeans wearin' a— up," Gillie said. "You had on a jersey with a bow tie, you corny a— [expletive]! What you do? You won MVP? Won a Super Bowl? Win the Super Bowl MVP?

"And you hating on him? 'Cause he did what you couldn't do [expletive], win a Super Bowl! And he been to two of 'em!" he continued. "So when you hate on him [expletive], just know you wasn't better than him."

That's when Johnny Football had had enough, and the former Heisman Trophy winner from Texas A&M let Gillie know about it.

"Yo @gilliedakid you may be the biggest (expletive) loser on the planet," Manziel wrote Saturday. "Talking like you've (expletive) done anything on a football field. If I see you just know I'm going to slap the (expletive) out of you, trust. I love million dollaz worth of game but that's the corniest (expletive) I've ever seen in my life.

"Can't wait for this response… Just set up the Rough & Rowdy and let's call it a day."

Manziel continued, "Take Jalens (expletive) out of your mouth for a couple minutes. Pretty sure he's already got a chick."
