Addison Lynch has landed on his feet.

Following the 2026 season, Denver Broncos head coach Sean Payton fired three assistant coaches, including Lynch, who served as the team's cornerbacks coach last fall. Lynch is now expected to join the New York Giants as NY's new defensive backs coach. The Giants will mark his fifth stop in the NFL.

Lynch, 36, originally joined the Broncos as a defensive quality control coach in 2023. He was promoted to CBs coach after two seasons. Before joining the team, he previously coached with the Los Angeles Chargers, Las Vegas Raiders and Detroit Lions.

So far this offseason, six assistant coaches have left Denver, including three who left for promotions elsewhere.

Broncos coach departures

Last year, Payton announced a finalized 2025 coaching staff in March, so we're probably a few weeks away from all the positions being sorted out this spring.
