SEC media days, an unofficial kickoff for the 2026 football season, are being held Monday through Thursday at JW Marriott and Tampa Marriott Water Street in Tampa, Florida.
The 2026 SEC campaign will be the third with 16 members after Oklahoma and Texas joined in 2024.
The 2026 SEC championship game will be contested on Dec. 5 at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Georgia. Without divisions for a third consecutive year, the top two teams in the SEC regular-season standings will play in the league title game.
On June 30, ahead of SEC media days and the upcoming campaign, ESPN’s College Football Power Index was released for the 2026 season.
ESPN FPI projects Texas (29.7%) as the team with the best chance to win the SEC championship this season, followed by Georgia (22.9%).
Tennessee has a 3.3% chance to win a league title. The Vols are also projected to have a 7.3-4.7 record, according to ESPN FPI.
