Free agency frenzy is upon us! The negotiation period opens Monday afternoon, where teams, including the Chicago Bears, can begin negotiating with agents before deals become official with the new league year.

With some big-name free agents on the market, things should heat up in the first two days before the new league year begins Wednesday at 3 p.m. CT.

The 2026 salary cap is set at $301.2 million, which is a $20 million increase from the 2025 season. For the Bears, they're projected to have roughly $26.56 million in available cap, per Over the Cap, which is the 14th most in the NFL.
