The 2026 World Cup has come to a close and unsurprisingly, there is a new top team in FIFA's World Rankings.
Spain is the 2026 World Cup champion after defeating Argentina 1-0 in the final on Sunday, July 19.
La Roja have moved up one spot into first in the first post-World Cup FIFA rankings, released on Monday, July 20.
Argentina has been dethroned in the World Cup and also in the FIFA rankings, with Lionel Messi's side dropping from first to second.
The World Cup accounts for most of the changes in the rankings, with Norway moving up 12 spots — the most by any team. Tunisia, meanwhile, has fallen the most, dropping 12 spots after losing all three World Cup games.
Mexico moves into the top 10 after reaching the last 16 on home soil. The U.S. men's national team, which achieved the same feat, moved up one spot to 16th.
Here are the rankings of all 48 teams after the World Cup's conclusion.
