We recorded this on Tivo as it was a 3 hour show. They had Mike Dika (+2 talking heads) as an analyst.

I had to hunt down the Cardinals section but it was the best analysis I have ever hear on TV. I guess part of this is that they had a lot of time to fill so they took the time to do each game/team well.

I strongly recomend it.

May I add --

one 'analyst' wanted Ditka to talk about Bulger -- and Mike cut him off. "Let's talk about that Cardinal defense first!"

He went on to say a lot of good things about the Cards and Green -- including that they're really going to be something as they develop.

Ditka doesn't get enough dredit as a football mind, IMO. He's unconventional, but he knows the game.

I still say that his deal on draft day for Ricky Williams was a good one at the time.

i agree, because it was bold and I would argue that the saints needed and infusion of excitement just like the Cards. So him doing that opened some eyes and got the team some exposure.

Watching Ditka and Michael Irving trade verbal barbs is what I enjoyed the most during the analysis. You know that Ditka wanted to just throttle the mouth every time Irving said something. Man what I wouldn't give for a guy like Ditka to play for us on defense. Even in his sixties, he still looks like he wants to kick some butt.

I do too, they had only guy to sign, they got a very good initial deal(bad for Ricky) and they had more room for free agent signings as a result.

And Ricky DID play well for them.

Ditka ripped him pretty good on ESPN Sunday, said he wouldn't give him another chance because he's proven to not be trustworthy, said it was a huge mistake and that Ricky is showing his lack of maturity.

I think some of these athletes can suffer from mental ilnesses just like the general population but it's just more noticable because of the attention.

I think Ricky has some severe emotional problems. Can you imagine being that shy and then playing in the NFL? I don't feel sorry for the guy but it does explain his behavior.

I think it is ironic that people just trash Ricky Williams on TV but no one says much about Leonard Little. To me what Ricky did is stupid but extremely harmless in comparison.

I am somewhat suprised that an NFL team hasn't decided to pursue vindictive legal action against a player. Maybe a lawyer on here could explain the possiblity of a team suing a player like Williams for everything he has because he failed to perform on the contract and damaged the team in doing so.

I think if one team pasted a guy like Ricky to the wall and took everything he had then maybe others wouldn't do something so stupid.

Well Miami is going after their signing bonus and if they win, Pasquarelli says Williams may have to file for bankruptcy. Of course Mortenson said the same thing but said Florida has some nice BK rules that make it favorable to file, and still keep your mansions and yachts.

the thing is you hear so many guys (Priest Holmes recently) say that Ricky openly talked about this late last year, that you have to assume the Dolphins were simply banking on him changing his mind. Cards looked stupid drafting Stouffer in part because he wasn't good, in part because nobody knew at the time Lomax had the hip problem, except the Cards.
