Even though Los Angeles Sparks star guard Kelsey Plum was snubbed from the WNBA All-Star Game, the Washington Huskies legend has been one of the best players in the league this year.

Her 23.9 points per game are a career-high and rank No. 2 in the league, while she's also averaged a career-best 6.6 assists per game in her second year with the Sparks. Plum has also posted 2.2 rebounds and 1.2 steals per contest while shooting 52.7 percent from the floor and 38.3 percent from three-point range, cementing herself as one of the best players in the league.

According to ESPN's latest rankings of the top 50 players in the WNBA, Plum is the No. 2 player in the league, only behind her former Las Vegas Aces teammate and four-time MVP, A'ja Wilson.

"IT'S RIDICULOUS." @LASparks head coach Lynne Roberts did NOT hold back on Kelsey Plum being snubbed as an All-Star starter!

Despite @Kelseyplum10 averaging a staggering 23.9 PPG and 6.4 APG on over 50% shooting, she was left out of the starting lineup. @SparksCoachRobpic.twitter.com/catY1N2wtu

"Plum's season has been spectacular," ESPN's Michael Voepel wrote in his reasoning.

"If her current scoring and assist averages and field goal percentage remain where they are, they all would be career highs. She has hit four or more 3-pointers in five games. And she reached her career scoring high -- 43 points -- on 53.8% shooting vs. Phoenix on June 13. Health has been the only problem; Plum has played in only 12 of the Sparks' 18 games because of injuries. She might be out most of July. Still, her play thus far earned her a high spot in these rankings."

In her career, the 2022 WNBA MVP and two-time champion, who has dealt with leg and ankle injuries this year, has averaged 15.5 points and 4.4 assists per game while shooting 43.6 percent from the field and 38.4 percent from three-point range.
