Norway will take on England in the 2026 World Cup quarterfinal on July 11 in Miami Gardens. The match could mark a bit of heartbreak for new star Erling Haaland. The 25-year-old was born in Leets, England but was raised in Norway, gaining citizenship in both.

Besides being an impact and featured on many “For You Page" scrolls, Haaland has also had a huge impact on the tournament. He is among the top goal scorers in the tournament with seven and has led Norway to the World Cup quarterfinals for the first time in history. Haaland scored both goals against Brazil on July 5, and securing their win against the iconic team.

In just 52 appearances, Haaland has scored 59 goals making him the top all-time scorer in Norway soccer history. He passed Jorgen Juve, who held the record for 90 years at 33 goals. Haaland has scored seven goals in the 2026 World Cup, tying him with Kylian M'bappe and Lionel Messi for most goals in the tournament as of July 6.
