England and India lock horns once again as the second match of their three-game ODI series unfolds at Sophia Gardens, Cardiff, on Thursday.
India will be hoping to extend their advantage after a strong start to the series, while the hosts look to keep the contest alive, as another defeat will make the Sunday fixture a dead rubber.
Having struggled during the earlier T20I leg of the tour, India turned things around impressively in the series opener, with contributions across the board helping them chase down England's target comfortably at Edgbaston. Shubman Gill, Axar Patel and Washington Sundar were among the standout performers who guided the team to victory.
At 39 and no longer leading the side, Rohit Sharma finds himself under the scanner. He is aware that another failure with the bat would only intensify questions surrounding his place in the team.
England, meanwhile, face their own set of concerns, having lost 13 of their last 19 ODIs. The focus now shifts to their home conditions advantage, with senior batters like Joe Root, Jos Buttler and Harry Brook expected to lead the fightback and ensure the hosts don't fall further behind in the series.
