England international only has eyes for Barcelona despite growing interest from Bayern Munich

English forward Marcus Rashford’s stance on his future appears clearer than ever, despite Barcelona signing Anthony Gordon from Newcastle United.

The 28-year-old forward spent the 2025/26 season on loan at Barcelona from Manchester United and registered an impressive goal contribution tally.

Even though the Catalan club negotiated a buy option into his loan deal, they have yet to trigger it, and the player’s future is still in limbo.

Barcelona remain his priority

Now, according to MARCA, despite interest from several clubs in Europe, including Bayern Munich, Rashford is focused on extending his stay with the Blaugrana.

The 28-year-old does not want to entertain any other offers while he continues to wait for Barcelona’s decision, as they continue to assess their plans for the summer.

The forward’s commitment to the Catalan club’s project is hard to ignore.

Having spent a season in Hansi Flick’s team, Rashford seems determined to continue his career here and is willing to make the necessary sacrifices.

For a player entering his prime years, turning down alternative opportunities while waiting for one club sends a strong message.

The ball is now in Barcelona’s court

Rashford’s performances this season have offered enough proof that he can contribute to this team, especially off the bench, even if not as a starter.

Across all competitions, he recorded 14 goals and 14 assists while becoming increasingly important in Hansi Flick’s plans.

While he may not be the greatest stylistic fit for Flick, especially off the ball, his value as an attacking threat who can change the game will not diminish.

The player appears to have made his choice. He is reportedly focused on the World Cup and waiting for Barcelona’s call.

The ball is now firmly in the Catalan club’s court, and it remains to be seen what Deco & co. decide to do with Rashford in the coming months.
