What a night for basketball, to say the least.
Down 29 points in Game 4, the New York Knicks stormed back in the second half against the San Antonio Spurs for one of the most historic comebacks in NBA finals history.
Following the game, several of the Spurs’ starters faced harsh criticism from the media, but none may have gotten it worse than starting point guard De’Aaron Fox.

Fox would get the ball as the clock ticked down to the final seconds of play, but rather than dribbling out the clock, he’d go for a lay-up, resulting in an OG Anunoby block.
More: Manu Ginobili can’t believe Spurs choked in NBA Finals Game 4
Seconds later, Anunoby would score a go-ahead tip-in to give the Knicks the lead with 1.2 seconds to go as Madison Square Garden erupted.
Former athletes Emmanuel Acho and LeSean McCoy went live on their Speakeasy talk show to discuss what they thought went down during the San Antonio collapse.
Acho, however, would not hold back on Fox, ripping apart the veteran point guard for his late-game decision-making and even suggesting the Spurs should part ways with the two-time NBA All-Star immediately.
“Everything De’Aaron Fox touches turns to crap, everything,” Acho exclaimed, “and with the game on the line we witnessed that.”
Fox finished the game 6-16, scoring 18 points, seven assists, and five rebounds. Unfortunately, he’d also notch four turnovers as well, with the final one being the most crucial.
After the game, reporters would ask the Spurs point guard about the play to which he gave a rather simple but straightforward answer.
New York and San Antonio will now gear up for Game 5 back at the Frost Bank Center, to which De’Aaron Fox and the Spurs will be hopeful to bounce back from this Game 4 plunder.
