The Oregon Ducks are set at the wide receiver position for the 2026 season, with as many as five viable players without mentioning three talented freshman coming in as part of the 2026 recruiting class. But where they're currently lacking is in the 2027 class, as they have no receiver commits to date.
There's still a long ways to go before the class is finalized however, with the Ducks in the mix to land several highly-rated wide receiver recruits. Four-star Trenton Yancey is one of them, as he recently listed Oregon among his final ten schools.
Along with the Ducks, Nebraska, Notre Dame, Florida State, Kentucky, Mississippi State, Florida, Texas, SMU and TCU are included.
Per 247 Sports Composite, Yancey is the No. 32 wide receiver and No. 244 player overall. The Ducks may have a leg up in his recruitment as he competes for Duncanville High School in Duncanville, TX — the same hometown and high school as Dakorien Moore, who joined Oregon as the top-ranked receiver in the 2025 class.
Yancey stands at 6-foot and 192 pounds and is known as an absolute burner on the field thanks to his track and field background. As a sophomore, Yancey ran the 100-yard dash in 11.23 seconds.
The Ducks currently have three offensive commits in the 2027 class: three-star offensive tackles Drew Fielder and Avery Michael and three-star running back Cadarius McMiller. Adding Yancey to the group would be a huge benefit towards improving their No. 13 team ranking in the class.
