Miami Hurricanes tight end Elijah Lofton took a huge hit after a reception in the second quarter of the Fiesta Bowl against Ole Miss, and was more than just shaken up on the play.

A few minutes later, Lofton was seen getting carted off the field and to the locker room, though he was sitting up and conscious.

On a third-and-7 from the Ole Miss 39-yard line, Carson Beck threw a pass over the middle to Lofton for a 15-yard gain. Ole Miss safety Wydett Williams Jr. delivered his shoulder to Lofton's chest for the tackle at the 24.

After a brief celebration, Lofton walked off the field, where Miami trainers and medical personnel was seen attending to the 6-foot-3, 230-pound sophomore from Las Vegas.
