According to a report from Bild (as captured by @iMiaSanMia), Eintracht Frankfurt has relented on its price for left-back Nathaniel Brown and is ready to sell him to Bayern Munich for €55 million (as BFW covered here):

Nathaniel Brown’s move to FC Bayern is in the final stages. The clubs are now set on a transfer fee of €55 million. Frankfurt made a compromise because they didn’t want to block Brown’s dream move, especially that they had signed him from Nürnberg for just €3.5m. Discussions are now focused on the precise breakdown between the fixed fee and bonuses.

Despite recent examples where both Bayer Leverkusen and VfB Stuttgart stood their ground in negotiations with Bayern Munich, this concession will not make fans of Eintracht Frankfurt or the Bundesliga happy and it certainly will not tone down the “Bayern-liga” catcalls.

Still, this would be one of the most expensive left-back transfers in history and should provide Eintracht Frankfurt with a nice influx of cash.
