Once again, Eddie Hearn isn’t buying Dana White’s promise that he’ll put on the biggest fight of the year.
Last September, White was behind Canelo Alvarez vs. Terence Crawford before he shifted focus towards building up Zuffa Boxing throughout 2026.
While this is still his main priority, the UFC president said recently that he’ll also be involved in Tyson Fury vs. Anthony Joshua.
That claim got a quick response from Hearn, who dismissed any suggestion that White would have a role in the heavyweight showdown between Fury and Joshua.

Eddie Hearn hasn’t been shy about criticising Zuffa Boxing and Dana White in their ongoing feud, and his latest comments show he’s not changing his tune.
Hearn remains unconvinced by White’s plans to shake up the boxing world, and he doesn’t believe for a second that the UFC president will be promoting the Tyson Fury vs. Anthony Joshua fight either.
Joshua’s long-time promoter responded on Instagram, firmly shutting down any possibility of that happening.
The comment appeared to reference their past discussions about a potential boxing match between Hearn and White, which never materialised.
In another post, Hearn highlighted a screenshot where TKO president Mark Shapiro had previously claimed Zuffa Boxing would promote Fury’s comeback win over Arslanbek Makhmudov earlier in the year.
The highly anticipated all-British bout still doesn’t have an official date, but it’s expected to take place late in 2026 with Netflix set to stream it. Before that happens, Joshua is scheduled to face Kristian Prenga in Riyadh on July 25.
