The Eagles (11-6), NFC East Champion, return to the NFL playoffs as the No. 3 seed in the conference and will face the rival 49ers (12-5) at Lincoln Financial Field in what should be a high-energy, high-scoring affair.

Philadelphia has won 11+ games for four consecutive years, the 2nd-best streak in team history (5, 2000-04). The Eagles are one of two clubs with 11+ wins every season since 2022 (the other is Buffalo). The Eagles have the best record in the NFL, including playoffs, since the start of 2022 (56-20), and they are must-see television. With Philadelphia getting the late Sunday afternoon time slot, the NFL on FOX broadcast team will be in attendance.

With kickoff fast approaching, we're looking at who has the advantage at each position.

QB: Eagles

In 2025, Purdy completed 197 of his 284 passing attempts. (69.4%) for 2,167 yds. and 20 TDs with a passer rating of 100.5 to go along with 33 rushes for 147 yds. (4.5 avg.) and three touchdowns. Still, he's no Jalen Hurts.

Hurts, who earned Super Bowl LIX MVP honors to conclude his 2024 postseason run, owns the 6th-best QB winning percentage (.692, 63-28) since the 1970 NFL merger (including playoffs), behind Patrick Mahomes (.762), Tom Brady (.751), Roger StaubachHOF (.743), Joe MontanaHOF (.712) and Bob GrieseHOF (.693). Hurts ranked 6th in the league in total TDs (33), trailing only Matthew Stafford (46), Josh Allen (39), Trevor Lawrence (38), Drake Maye (35), and Jared Goff (34). Hurts threw a career-high 25 TDs (T-9th in NFL) and led the league in 30+ yard passing TDs (7, tied). He also finished 3rd overall in TD-INT ratio (4.2), behind Matthew Stafford (5.8) and Jared Goff (4.3).

RB: Even

Niners RB Christian McCaffrey registered 2,126 yds. from scrimmage and 17 total TDs in 2025 (10 rush & 7 rec.), making him the only player in the NFL with at least 2,000 yds. from scrimmage and 15-or-more total TDs.

Barkley is the first Eagle to rush for 1,000+ yards (1,140 – 10th in NFL) in back-to-back seasons since LeSean McCoy (2013-14). From Week 13 through the end of the regular season, Barkley ranked T-5th in the league with 456 rushing yards, trailing only Derrick Henry (724), Bijan Robinson (625), Tony Pollard (560), and James Cook (537).

WR: Eagles

DeVonta Smith (1,008) and A.J. Brown (1,003) are the only Eagles WR duo to produce 1,000+ receiving yards each in the same season. Only five Eagles have three 1,000+ yard receiving seasons – Brown (four), Smith, Harold Carmichael (HOF), DeSean Jackson, and Mike Quick.

Jauan Jennings was the 49ers' second-leading receiver behind Christian McCaffrey, catching 55 passes for 643 yards and nine touchdowns. Jennings enters the playoffs on a hot streak, having hauled in six touchdown passes in his last six games combined, and his nine scores are tied for eighth in the league this season.

TE: Even

Goedert led the team with a career-high 11 receiving TDs – the most ever by an Eagles TE (previously 10 by Pete Retzlaff in 1965). He tied Trey McBride for the most among TEs in the NFL this season and finished T-2nd overall, with only Davante Adams (14) ahead of him. In 2025, George Kittle registered 57 receptions for 628 yds. (11.0 avg.) and 7 TDs.
