The Eagles just traded for Andy Dalton. For those who don't know, Eagles current backup QB Tanner McKee is very good, better than Dalton. So why are the Eagles trading for Dalton? Well, it was rumored early in the off season that Tanner will get a chance to start in 2026. If the Eagles are getting Dalton it means someone is about to trade for McKee. Now which teams have a QB room in flux? Browns, Falcons, and Cardinals.

Are we about to trade for Tanner McKee?

I don't know a thing about Tanner McKee, but the thought of trading for an Eagles backup QB gives me PTSD(Kevin Kolb for Cromartie and our second round draft choice in 2011).
6'6, has a much smaller sample size than Willis did, and never came close to looking as good as Willis did. He's only played in blowouts and week 18 backup scrimmages.

If we traded for him I'm not sure he would win the job over Brissett in a fair competition, but it would be a move that would at least give us the optics of trying something new this season. It would give the fans someone to be curious about.

I like 6'6. I'm gonna guess that Philly wants a stupid high draft choice for him, like a second or third.

Kee McTanner?

Two-year starter at Stanford (good) with a 6-15 Cardinalesque record

I'm intrigued for sure but he did himself zero favors in the eagles' last game against the Commodores in which he started. Looked abysmal for most of the game.
