This time of year, the news comes fast and furiously. It's easy for a few nuggets to slip through the cracks. It happens from time to time, even for a fan base as esteemed as the Philadelphia Eagles' contingent.

One of the lesser-mentioned changes this offseason came when Tyler Yelk departed the franchise to join the Nebraska Cornhuskers in Lincoln. It appears he has been replaced. The new guy is Beyah Rasool. CBS Sports' Matt Zenitz was the first to report the news.

The #Eagles are hiring Beyah Rasool as a defensive assistant, sources tell @CBSSports.

Rasool spent much of his time coaching at the NCAA level. One of his higher-profile stops was with the Arizona Wildcats, where he spent two seasons as a senior defensive assistant. He also once served under former Eagles quarterbacks coach Scot Loeffler at Bowling Green with the Falcons. There, he served as the cornerbacks coach and special teams assistant in 2023.

Most recently, he broke into the NFL and held a defensive assistant role with the Las Vegas Raiders; before that, he was a quality control coach with the Florida Gators. Congratulations are in order. We're certain to learn more about him as we journey closer to the 2026-27 NFL regular season.
