After winning a second Super Bowl in the 2024 season, the Philadelphia Eagles had an up-and-down 2025 campaign.

Despite one of the league's best defenses and plenty of star talent on the offensive side of the ball, the Eagles made a much quicker playoff exit than they anticipated, which has already led to significant changes. While Nick Sirianni remains head coach, he brought in a new offensive coordinator in Sean Mannion, with more changes expected.

From A.J. Brown's uncertain future, to needs for a tight end, pass rusher and more, Philadelphia figures to have a busy offseason as it looked to retool for 2026.

The Sporting News is tracking all the Eagles' latest moves as free agency gets under way, from official signings and trades, to rumors and rumblings. Here's how Philadelphia's offseason is shaping up.

Eagles free agency rumors, news, updates

Rams called Eagles about A.J. Brown

  • Date: March 13
  • Source: Dianna Russini

Los Angeles and Philadelphia discussed a Brown trade before the Rams acquired Trent McDuffie from the Chiefs. While the talks aren't dead, the McDuffie deal slowed down any talks between the Rams and Eagles.

Eagles extend punter Braden Mann

Mann, who has spent the past three seasons with Philadelphia, has signed a four-year, $14 million extension that includes $7 million guaranteed. Mann came over to the Eagles in 2023 after spending his first three seasons with the New York Jets. In 2025, he had career highs in average yards per punt.

Landon Dickerson, Eagles agree to new contract

Per Fowler, the Eagles and the star guard Dickerson agreed to a revised two-year contract at around $36M. Dickerson was supposed to be under contract until 2028, but it now expires in the 2026-27 season.

He is due $15.7 million this season and was previously going to make $39 million in 2026-27; Dickerson can still hit that number with incentives.

Dallas Goedert's void date pushed back, could be extended

Tight end Dallas Goedert was not listed as a free agent by the NFL on Wednesday, per Berman, as his void date was pushed to Friday.

The move could give the Eagles and Goedert a chance to work on an extension.

Eagles continue to 'inquire' on Greenard

According to Russini, the Eagles continue to inquire on Greenard from the Vikings, also talking to his agent about what a potential extension would look like after a trade.

With Bradley Chubb heading to the Bills, another pass rusher is off the free-agent market for Philadelphia.

Jonathan Greenard a name to watch for Eagles, Jalen Carter was 'never shopped'

With the Eagles needing an impact pass rusher, after also reportedly showing interest in now-Raven Trey Hendrickson, one name to watch will be the Vikings' Jonathan Greenard, per Schefter. Greenard is known to be available on the trade market.

Additionally, while there was some buzz about Jalen Carter being on the trade block this offseason, Schefter reports that Carter was never made available and "never shopped."

Eagles sign CB Riq Woolen

Philadelphia's first external potential starter of the offseason will be a cornerback, as Schefter reports the team has agreed to a one-year, $15 million deal with former Seahawks DB Riq Woolen.

He's set to start opposite of Quinyon Mitchell in 2026, also meaning Cooper DeJean won't have to become a full-time corner.

Philadelphia bringing in pair of TEs, but Goedert remains on open market

Philadelphia is bringing back tight end Grant Calcaterra on a one-year deal, per Schefter, and also reportedly agreed to a contract with former Jaguars veteran Johnny Mundt. Neither are expected to become starting options, but Calcaterra will be a backup, while Mundt is known for his run-blocking.

S Reed Blankenship signs with Texans

Former Eagles safety Reed Blankenship agreed to a three-year deal with Houston, ending his run as a starter in Philadelphia.

LB Nakobe Dean heading to Raiders

Yet another former Eagle is heading elsewhere, with linebacker Nakobe Dean signing a three-year, $36 million deal with the Raiders, per Schultz.

Dean joins Jaelan Phillips and Jahan Dotson as names to depart Philly before the Eagles have signed an external free agent.

WR Jahan Dotson heading to Falcons

Former Eagles receiver Jahan Dotson is departing for the Falcons on a two-year deal, per Schultz.

Michael Carter II signs renegotiated deal with Eagles

Defensive back Michael Carter II has signed a renegotiated contract with Philadelphia, per Berman, after the team acquired him last season. Carter was set to count more than $10 million against the cap.

Bradley Chubb a name to watch in replacing Phillips

The Athletic's Zach Berman reports that with Phillips gone, the Eagles could eye another former Miami Dolphin in Bradley Chubb, who has experience with DC Vic Fangio.

'No momentum' on an A.J. Brown deal yet

Ian Rapoport reports that the Eagles haven't found "any momentum" in an A.J. Brown trade yet, and once free agency is "off and running" it could be off the table.

Philadelphia in need of pass rushers following Jaelan Phillips-Panthers deal

Jaelan Phillips, the former Dolphins EDGE who the Eagles acquired at last season's trade deadline, has left Philadelphia to sign a four-year, $120 million deal with the Panthers, per Schefter.

Phillips had been heavily connected to an extension with the Eagles, but he lands a massive deal to go to Carolina. Immediately, star-level pass rushing becomes a big need for Philadelphia; Phillips was considered their best pass rusher in 2025, and he leaves a void the team will need to fill.

The Eagles had a "walkaway number" for Phillips, per Zach Berman, which came to fruition.

Eagles extend DT Jordan Davis

  • Date: March 8
  • Source: Eagles

The first major domino of Philadelphia's free agency was extending DT Jordan Davis, who had a breakout 2025 and became one of the best players in the league at his position.

Davis received a three-year extension worth $78 million, per Zach Berman. He becomes the highest paid NT in NFL history.
