PHILADELPHIA − The Eagles are continuing their training camp with practice on Aug. 11 at the Jefferson Health Training Center.

We are seeing the offense look a bit more comfortable under first-year coordinator Sean Mannion.

And we have started to see some wide receivers, most notably Darius Cooper and Elijah Moore, start to separate from the pack. But top receiver DeVonta Smith and first-round draft pick Makai Lemon have missed the past five practices with hamstring injuries. Both are also sitting out the Aug. 11 practice.

Eagles defensive coordinator Vic Fangio said the competition for the second starting safety between Marcus Epps and Michael Carter has a long ways to go.
\n
Both have gotten reps with first team next to Drew Mukuba, who is one of the two starters. Expect this battle to continue throughout the next few weeks.
\n
“It’s a really good competition,” Fangio said.
\n
Fangio said edge rusher Jonathan Greenard, who suffered a pectoral muscle strain while working out during the summer break, isn’t close to returning. “We’re not going to see him for another couple of weeks, at least,” Fangio said.
\n
That means it’s possible that Greenard could remain on the PUP list into the start of the season and thus have to miss the first four games.

Defensive coordinator Vic Fangio is having a press conference at 9:40 a.m. Practice begins at 10 a.m., with player interviews to follow.
