Philadelphia Eagles general manager Howie Roseman stated during the NFL's Scouting Combine that he picks up the phone whenever any team calls about potential trades. Recently, he has fielded a few questions about defensive tackle Jalen Carter.

With Carter, the Eagles have him under contract through 2026 and hold an option for his fifth-year. Since being drafted in 2023, Carter has been a staple on the Eagles' defense, playing well. He has managed to put a couple of Pro Bowl selections under his belt as well. He made second-team All-Pro in 2024.

Due to Carter's Pro Bowl selections, his fifth-year option increases to $27.1 million. The Eagles just extended another defensive tackle, Jordan Davis, to a 3-year deal worth an average of $26 million. Some folks think that the writing is on the wall for Carter to eventually exit Philadelphia, with each phone call driving up the value for him on the free agency market.

Carter will be owed $3.7 million for the 2026 season, but who the person will be signing his checks will remain a mystery for the moment.
