If Philadelphia does part ways with A.J. Brown, they'll certainly have the depth and versatility at the running back position to come at opposing defensive units in waves. On Thursday, the Eagles agreed to terms with former Texans and Chiefs running back Dameon Pierce on a one-year deal, adding a physical runner to Philadelphia's backfield depth. A fourth-round pick by the Texans in 2022 out of Florida, Pierce finished the 2025 campaign with Kansas City after spending his first three and a half seasons in Houston.
Pierce's most productive season came as a rookie when he rushed for 939 yards and four touchdowns in 13 games. He also added 30 receptions for 165 yards and a score.
Pierce joins a crowded running back room that includes Saquon Barkley, Tank Bigsby, Will Shipley, and Carson Steele.
