Dylan Harper knew Victor Wembanyama was about to arrive after Spurs star's viral pregame fit originally appeared on The Sporting News. Add The Sporting News as a Preferred Source by clicking here.
There was plenty of talk about Victor Wembanyama before Game 6 in San Antonio. The Spurs star left disappointing Western Conference Finals Game 5 without talking to the media, for which he got warned by the NBA. Many were already celebrating the Oklahoma City Thunder after Wembanyama was overwhelmed in a tough loss.
Wembanyama changed the narrative and forced Game 7 at Paycom Center. The Spurs went back to his offseason roots to channel his 'Shaolin mode' and came up with a viral pregame fit.
Wembanyama arrived at the Frost Bank Center wearing a green Shaolin monk-like attire, with one Spurs star claiming he already knew that the MVP finalist was about to go nuclear.
“When he came in with the outfit, I think everyone knew what was gonna happen,” Spurs rookie Dylan Harper said.

Wembanyama backed up the aura as the 7-foot-4 phenom exploded for 22 points in the first half. The reigning Defensive Player of the Year finished with 28 points, 10 rebounds, two assists, two steals and three blocks.

Victor Wembanyama facing long odds as Spurs hope to win Game 7
The Spurs recorded a landslide victory on Thursday, but their next destination's history is in favor of the Thunder.
The Paycom Center has been a fortress for Thunder, especially in Game 7. Since 2008, the arena, which was then called Ford Center, has delivered memorable results for the home side. The Thunder have played four Game 7s during this period and have won each one of them. This includes last season's Game 7s of the Western Conference Semifinals and NBA Finals.
If Victor Wembanyama & Co. want to set up a Finals date with the New York Knicks, they need to break this trend at Paycom Center.
