Durban City FC confirms full acquisition of Terrence Mashego
In a significant move aimed at bolstering their defensive line, Durban City FC has officially welcomed defender Terrence Mashego from reigning Betway Premiership champions, Mamelodi Sundowns.
Mashego's arrival concludes a period of limited playing time at the Tshwane giants. The highly-rated left-back originally made the switch to Sundowns from Cape Town City FC in September 2022. However, finding opportunities scarce, the 29-year-old featured in just 13 matches across all competitions last season. Seeking a fresh start to reignite his career, Mashego departs Chloorkop having made a total of 45 appearances and scoring one goal for the club.

The 33-year-old forward leaves a legacy of success, having been a pivotal figure in Orbit's historic promotion to the top flight. Koapeng etched his name in club folklore by scoring the decisive goal against Cape Town City in Rustenburg, a strike that secured their victory in the PSL Promotional/Relegation Playoffs and their place in the elite league.
While his time in the Premiership was brief, Koapeng made his mark by scoring one goal in three appearances for Orbit during their initial five matches of the campaign.
