Former Duke guard Kyrie Irving is often regarded as one of the best ball-handlers in NBA history, putting on a show with his unbelievable balance and footwork. Recently, despite missing the entire 2025-26 NBA season due to injury, Irving was recognized for his ability with the ball in his hand.
World-famous basketball video game NBA 2K27 released a handful of their player ratings last week as the game nears its September 4 release date. Irving's ball-handling skills were rated 99, the highest possible rating in the game.
This was two points higher than the next closest competitor, Irving's former rival, two-time NBA MVP Award winner Stephen Curry of the Golden State Warriors.
Recent NBA Finals MVP Jalen Brunson (Knicks) and two-time reigning league MVP Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (Thunder) were tied for third. Former All-Star point guards LaMelo Ball (Timberwolves), Luka Doncic (Lakers), James Harden (free agent) and Trae Young (Wizards) were all tied for fifth.
